The Tidewater Tech main campus is meticulously designed to meet the diverse needs of our students across various training programs. Our lab features vehicle lifts, a four-post alignment rack, automotive testing, and service equipment that mirrors what contemporary technicians use, along with hands-on instructors for each area of study. Our Combination Welding Lab boasts over 90 welding bays, including a separate controlled testing lab, providing students with hands-on experience. Each year, our Occupational Advisory Committees from all disciplines review our campus space, equipment, and resources to offer valuable input on improvements. Additionally, the Council on Occupational Education (COE) regularly visits our campus to ensure we uphold high standards in space, equipment, technology, and campus life, all dedicated to fostering student success.
The Tidewater Tech branch campus offers a dynamic learning environment tailored to the practical needs of our students. The Building Construction Trades simulation lab provides a real-world setting where students can install household appliances, and perform installation, repair, and maintenance on plumbing, framing, and drywall systems. Our Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning lab is equipped with heating and cooling systems for both commercial and residential applications, including gas and oil furnaces and commercial refrigeration equipment. Our commitment to maintaining a learning environment is supported by annual reviews from our Occupational Advisory Committees and regular visits from the Council on Occupational Education (COE), ensuring that our students receive training in a facility that ensures hands-on, real-life training.
