On Thursday, November 12, from 11:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. Tidewater Tech invites the community to attend their Essential Career Training Expo. This event will give attendees the opportunity to learn about our career-focused training in fields that have proven to be essential during the COVID-19 pandemic. Expo attendees will have the Tidewater Tech standard application fee waived and program guidance will be provided by admissions. Financial aid and career services teams will be onsite to help answer questions during the event. The Expo will be held at the school’s facility located at 4535 East Princess Anne Road. Training is available for the following programs: Combination Welding, Building Maintenance and Repair (BMR), Automotive Technician and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
This year, the U. S. experienced the suspension of “non-essential” career markets to decelerate the circulation of COVID-19. With this deferral, select occupations were declared essential workers, or those who perform services that are essential to continue vital foundation operations in communities, cities, and states. Some of Virginia’s essential businesses have included trades focused industries such as automotive repair and home improvement facilities.
At the Essential Career Training Expo, application fees will be waived for one-day-only and Financial Aid Officers will be onsite to provide fiscal resources and information. Tours of the campus’ labs and classrooms will be available to those interested. Admissions Representatives will host Career Planning Sessions to provide visitors with insight into industry demand, based off of their program of choosing. Light refreshments and drinks will be offered during the Expo.
