Tidewater Tech moves their location a mile down the road to a custom-built tech training facility to provide students with even more resources during their education.

With class sizes growing and the increasing demand for skilled technicians, Tidewater Tech has moved their campus to a larger facility located at 4535 E. Princess Anne Road, Norfolk, VA 23502. The new building is custom-designed to serve the needs of students within the training programs offered at the campus, to include building maintenance and repair, combination welding, automotive technician and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).
“We are filled with excitement about our relocation,” states Campus Executive Director, Paula Massey. “The new facility is an expansive, state of the art training environment, designed specifically with our students’ needs in mind. We appreciate the need for lab space and our new site provides an abundance of hands-on skills lab areas for each training program, along with additional larger and more modern classrooms with the most current technology; all to create a training experience surpassing expectations.”
The 44,000 square foot facility houses a Learning Resource Center, two computer labs and 13 classrooms designated to hold up to 25 students. In the building maintenance simulation lab, students learn to install household appliances as well as install, repair, and perform maintenance on existing plumbing, framing, and drywall. The combination welding lab holds over 70 welding bays, complete with ventilation systems. Vehicle lifts, a four-post alignment rack and automotive testing and service equipment that is comparable to what contemporary technicians use is available to those pursuing the auto tech program. The HVAC lab houses heating and cooling systems for commercial and residential applications, gas and oil furnaces and commercial refrigeration equipment for hands-on learning experiences.
