Tesla has opened a dealership in Norfolk, Virginia to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles.
Tesla is an American electric vehicle and clean energy company based in Austin, Texas. Tesla has opened a new dealership located at 7520 N. Military Highway in Norfolk, Virginia. This presence of an electric vehicle manufacturer affords South Hampton Roads residents the opportunity to shop Tesla in a space closer to home. Prior to the Norfolk grand opening, the closest dealerships were in Vienna, Virginia, and Glen Allen, Virginia respectively.
Norfolk Mayor and Chancellor of Tidewater Tech, Dr. Kenneth Alexander, on the grand opening: “It is a pleasure to have Tesla in Norfolk, Virginia, given our shared vision for a sustainable, innovative community. In addition to increased availability of electric vehicles, this new center offers the opportunity for students in Hampton Roads to serve in the electric car industry through auto technicians.” To meet the demand for electric car vehicle maintenance, Tidewater Tech has unveiled a unit within its auto technician program to educate students about how to perform quality maintenance on electric vehicles.
